Cubeb pepper from Indonesia and Indian black pepper drive a warm, spice-market depth, with juniper and Spanish citrus keeping it bright. Hand-crafted at G&J and bottled at 42.5%, it finishes long and warming. A gin that carries the scent of the old spice route.

Description
Opihr borrows its name from a legendary ancient port famed for its spice trade, and the recipe reads like a map of that route: black pepper from India, coriander from Morocco, cubeb pepper from Indonesia and citrus from Spain, hand-assembled at G&J Distillers and bottled at 42.5%. The result is a London Dry built around warmth rather than restraint.
The nose is spicy and exotic, pepper and coriander leading with fresh citrus behind. The palate is intense and aromatic, juniper holding the centre while the piquant heat of cubeb pepper, a light sweetness and earthy nuances unfold around it; the finish is long and warming, balancing spice against citrus. Pour it with Indian tonic and an orange twist, or push the heat further with a chilli garnish for a properly spiced G&T.
