Ole Smoky Tennessee Moonshine Lemon Drop is a flavoured moonshine liqueur from the Ole Smoky distillery in Gatlinburg, in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. Ole Smoky is a Tennessee moonshine brand whose unaged corn spirit became the legal heir to a long regional tradition of clear backwoods whiskey, and the house now runs a state licensed distillery turning that high proof base into a range of fruit and dessert flavours. This Lemon Drop expression carries the bright citrus of the sweet shop classic at 32.5% by volume, bottled in 500 ml.

The nose leads on lime, with the palate fruity and sharp and a softening run of vanilla, honey and cream behind it. In a drink it brings sweetness and a clear citrus lift, a quick way to add lemon and lime character without reaching for fresh fruit and syrup. It is a ready base for summer coolers and sour style serves, and the producer suggests it neat or stretched long with soda, lemonade or ginger ale over plenty of ice.
