Nikka Pure Malt – White

Nikka Pure Malt White is a no age statement blended malt from Nikka, combining malt from the Yoichi distillery in Hokkaido and the Miyagikyo distillery in Miyagi Prefecture. Released for the European market at 43% in a 500ml format and matured in Ex-Bourbon casks, it forms part of Nikka's long-running colour-coded Pure Malt range.

The White designation in the Pure Malt series traditionally points toward a lighter, more delicate style, drawing more heavily on Miyagikyo's soft, fruity and floral character than on Yoichi's heavier, peatier side. Ex-Bourbon maturation in the house style adds vanilla and a gentle cereal note, supporting the natural direction of the blend without introducing heavy wood influence. It is a quietly balanced blended malt that shows Nikka's malt distilleries in their more approachable, fruit-forward register.
