Description
Nikka Limited 2025 is a no age statement blended whisky from Nikka, bottled in 2025 for the European market at 48% and flagged as cask-strength for this release. It draws on malt from the Yoichi distillery in Hokkaido, the Miyagikyo distillery in Miyagi Prefecture and Ben Nevis distillery in Scotland, which Nikka has owned since 1989.
The inclusion of Ben Nevis malt alongside the Japanese components reflects Nikka's broader Asahi portfolio and is openly part of the blend's construction. Ex-Bourbon maturation shapes all three components, with the honey and fresh-fruit notes typical of Miyagikyo balancing the oilier, more coal-gas-inflected character that Yoichi and Ben Nevis contribute. The malt extract and citric elements add brightness, and the full-strength 48% bottling amplifies the overall depth of the marriage.
