Niemetz Schwedenbomben Likor is an Austrian cream liqueur from Niemetz, a confectionery brand with more than 125 years behind it, best known for its Schwedenbomben, light morsels of fudge coated in chocolate and dusted with coconut. The liqueur recreates that sweet in liquid form, a creamy chocolate and coconut emulsion made with Fairtrade cocoa, bottled at a gentle 15%. The reference point is the confection, which makes this a dessert liqueur first and foremost.

The nose is sweet with chocolate and coconut, the palate sweet and creamy with cocoa, dark chocolate and coconut over a hazelnut edge, finishing long and creamy. Behind the bar it works as a chocolate and coconut dessert ingredient, adding cocoa flavour, sweetness and a soft cream body, which makes it a natural in a chocolate alexander or a coconut chocolate martini and a partner to desserts and after dinner coffee. Pour it neat or over ice as a digestif, or stir it into hot chocolate. As a cream liqueur it is a dairy product once opened, so keep it cool and use it reasonably fresh.
