Description
Mionetto has worked from the heart of Valdobbiadene since 1887, and this Vino Frizzante comes from the steep hillside vineyards that hold the DOCG, the highest tier of the Prosecco zone. It is made entirely from Glera and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks by the Charmat method, which preserves the varietal freshness and keeps the fruit clean and bright. The Frizzante style carries a gentler, lighter pressure than the fuller Spumante, so the sparkle is soft rather than vigorous.
The colour is a delicate straw yellow with a soft sheen and a fine, lively bead. The nose leads with Golden Delicious apple, pear and white peach, lifted by a floral hint of acacia. The palate balances freshness, orchard fruit and a touch of residual sweetness that gives it charm and drinkability. Serve it chilled at 5 to 7 degrees in a white wine glass. It makes a lively aperitif and suits Mediterranean antipasti, light fish, summer salads, seafood and a delicate risotto.
