Description
MO Sergio is the white wine in Mionetto's contemporary MO line, from the house that has worked in Valdobbiadene since 1887. It is made from Glera by the Charmat method and rested for at least six months on the fine lees, which is longer than a standard tank cycle and gives the wine a fine bead and a soft, rounded texture. It is finished in the extra dry style, though it drinks on the drier side of that band.
The colour is a delicate straw yellow with a fine, persistent bead. The nose shows ripe apple, honeydew melon and floral notes lifted by a touch of honey. The palate is dry and soft in texture, with balanced acidity and a lightly bitter close that adds depth and length. Serve it at 5 to 7 degrees in a white wine glass. It makes a stylish aperitif and suits antipasti, seafood, shellfish, pasta, quiche and a fine risotto, an easy glass for special occasions or a relaxed moment.
