Description
Mionetto has stood for Prosecco expertise from Valdobbiadene since 1887, and this Vino Frizzante comes from the wider Treviso DOC in the Veneto. It is made entirely from Glera and fermented by the Charmat method, a gentle tank fermentation that preserves the freshness and aromatic profile of the grape. As a frizzante it carries a lower pressure than a spumante, giving a soft, persistent flow of bubbles, and it keeps the traditional spago cord closure that marks the style.
In the glass it is clear straw yellow with greenish reflections and a fine, lively bead. The nose shows green apple, pear and citrus fruit with a floral edge of white flowers, and the palate is fresh and balanced with a delicate mousse and a lightly mineral close. Serve it at 6 to 8 degrees in a white wine glass. It works well as an aperitif and alongside antipasti, bruschetta, seafood, summer salads, mild cheeses and fresh pasta with vegetables, and suits both a relaxed evening and a more festive table.
