Description
The 2021 Vintage Release continues a line Irish Distillers has issued every year since 1984, each edition signed by hand by the master distiller at Midleton. It blends older single pot still and grain whiskeys, all triple distilled at the Midleton distillery in Co. Cork, and was released globally.
Maturation is in lightly charred ex-bourbon American oak, which frames vanilla, honey and citrus alongside a fresh, greenhouse note of green fruit. At 40% it is soft and composed, the grain smoothing the pot still spice into the orchard fruit and creamy texture that mark the Midleton style, unpeated and gently sweet.
