Description
The 2017 Vintage Release of Midleton Very Rare, Irish Distillers' annual signed blend, produced at the Midleton distillery in Co. Cork since 1984. It brings together mature triple distilled pot still and grain whiskey, chosen and married each year by the master distiller, unpeated and built for polish over power.
This edition was matured in ex-bourbon barrels, the American oak lending vanilla, toffee and a soft orchard fruit sweetness while the pot still keeps a gentle baking spice underneath. It finishes honeyed and silky at 40%, an elegant expression of the East Cork house character.
