Description
A late 1980s edition of Midleton Very Rare, one of the earliest in Irish Distillers' annual signed series, produced at the Midleton distillery in Co. Cork since 1984. It gathers older triple distilled pot still and grain whiskey, unpeated, with the pot still lending creamy spice beneath the lighter grain.
Matured in ex-bourbon American oak, it carries the polished, honeyed house character, vanilla and toffee with apple and pear and a quiet baking spice, smooth at 40%. An early Cork bottling from the first years of the range, it is increasingly rare.
