Description
One of the earlier bottlings of Barry Crockett Legacy, released in 2011 and named for the Midleton master distiller. This single pot still whiskey was made by Irish Distillers in Co. Cork from a mash of malted and unmalted barley and matured entirely in American bourbon oak, both seasoned and unseasoned, then bottled at 46%.
The all bourbon maturation leads with citrus and vanilla, opening into a fragrant, lightly chocolate note with fresh orchard fruit and malt underneath. Triple distilled and unpeated in the Midleton style, it keeps a creamy, oily texture and a gentle pot still spice, finishing clean and sweet with the polished oak that defines the Legacy line.
