Matured in Ex-Bourbon casks, the spirit follows the Komagatake distillery's typical character: clean, fresh and fruit-forward, with the vanilla and orchard sweetness that American oak tends to develop in the cool mountain air of Nagano. At 48% the bottling sits at a gentle cask strength that lets the delicate Ex-Bourbon-led character come through clearly. The European market release reflects Mars Shinshu's growing international profile since Hombo Shuzo restarted production at the distillery in 2011.
