Louers Vodka

Louers is produced in the Netherlands by the Louers Distillery, which assembles and bottles each one by hand. The spirit is made from selected Dutch wheat, the grain that gives vodka its soft, silky mouthfeel, and cut with heavily filtered spring water. It is distilled six times to strip out congeners, then passed through twelve layers of charcoal dust, a filtration step that pulls out fusel oils and leaves the spirit exceptionally clean. At 40% the body stays full while the texture turns silky.

The nose is gentle, with subtle wheat and a slight minerality. The palate is silky and slightly sweet with balanced cereal notes and a soft herbal hint, and the finish is long and clean with a touch of warmth. Given that smoothness, an Espresso Martini suits it well: 50ml vodka, 25ml coffee liqueur and a fresh shot of espresso, shaken hard over ice and strained. The vodka's clean body holds the coffee up and the silky texture carries through the foam.
