Gordon & MacPhail, the Elgin house founded in 1895, held some of the deepest Longmorn stocks of any bottler. From the Reserve range, this 45 Year Old is a 1966 vintage Oloroso single cask, an outturn of 283 bottles.
Forty-five years in Oloroso built profound sherried depth, the cask's melanoidins giving dried fruit and a vegetal, savoury maturity.
At 44.3% it shows deep dried fruit over Longmorn's worn richness. A 1966 Reserve single cask.
