From Van Wees, the Dutch house behind The Ultimate range, this Cask Strength 17 Year Old is a 1996 vintage from Oloroso cask 105091, an outturn of 588 bottles at a powerful strength.

Seventeen years in Oloroso built deep sherried maturity, the cask's melanoidins giving dried fruit and its tannins a nutty grip.

At 60.8% it shows a sherried character, chocolate, cooked fruit, hay, leather and a malty note, undiluted. An Ultimate 17.
