The Daily Dram is an independent bottler. This bottling is a 26 year old Littlemill, laid down in 1988 and drawn off in 2014. As the last casks are bottled, Littlemill grows scarcer with every release.
Twenty-six years in a refill bourbon cask keep Littlemill's floral, fruity character bright.
At its natural 54.1%, soft vanilla and oak come from the ex-Bourbon. Light and fragrant, the elegant Lowland signature throughout. Oak lactones and lignin-derived vanillin build the vanilla-and-coconut signature, the gentle American-oak tannins keeping it soft. At this age the angel's share has done its quiet work: in humid Scottish warehouses alcohol leaves faster than water, easing the strength and concentrating the flavour.
