Description
Licor 43 Cuarenta y Tres Baristo comes from Diego Zamora in Cartagena, makers of the world famous Spanish liqueur Licor 43, built on a family recipe of forty three ingredients around Mediterranean citrus and vanilla. For Baristo the classic liqueur is refined with coffee from the Canary Islands, joining the citrus and vanilla base to an intense roasted coffee character and bottling the result at 31%.
The nose is intense with freshly roasted coffee, vanilla, caramel and Mediterranean herbs, the palate full bodied and harmonious with strong coffee, vanilla, caramel and a light citrus freshness, closing long, warm and aromatic with lingering coffee. Behind the bar it brings coffee roast, sweetness and a vanilla citrus lift in one pour, which makes it a natural in an Espresso Martini or a White Russian, where it adds both the sugar and the roast. Pour it neat over ice, or stir it into coffee for a Carajillo style serve.
