Embargo Anejo Esplendido is Les Bienheureux's accessible blend, built from both molasses and cane juice distillate and matured five years in ex-bourbon oak. Bottled at a soft 40%, it aims for the mellow, approachable Spanish style rather than anything heavy or high-proof.

Column-distilled and gently aged, it shows vanilla, coconut and a candied edge on the nose, then vanilla, light wood, a touch of sugarcane and dark chocolate on the palate, closing with caramel and coconut. The character is soft and easygoing, with a light cherry note some drinkers pick up, and a relaxed sweetness that keeps it firmly in everyday-sipper territory.
