Description
Le Contesse make this Prosecco DOC Rosé in the heart of the Veneto, blending the classic Glera grape with Pinot Nero for colour, depth and structure. As a Brut it is on the drier, more precise side of Prosecco Rosé. The second fermentation is carried out in pressurised tank by the Charmat method, which sets a fine, persistent bead and keeps the fresh primary fruit intact. At 11 per cent alcohol the wine stays light footed and easy going while holding clear expression.
The wine is a delicate salmon pink with a fine, even perlage. The nose leads with red berries, strawberry and fine floral notes. The palate is lively and precise, with clear fruit, elegant acidity and a dry style, closing fresh and clean. Serve well chilled at 6 to 8 degrees in a tulip glass. A stylish aperitif that suits antipasti, seafood, carpaccio, fine salads and white meat.
