Description
Le Contesse works in the province of Treviso, where its Glera vineyards sit at around 40 metres on medium-textured soils. The grapes are trained by the Sylvoz method and harvested in mid September, then gently pressed before a second fermentation in pressurised tanks with selected yeasts. This tank method preserves the primary apple and pear fruit that defines a fresh Prosecco, and a short rest in cool storage after bottling settles the wine's structure. The Brut dosage keeps it dry and food-friendly.
The colour is a light straw yellow with a fine, persistent perlage. The nose shows golden apple and Williams pear with a hint of white flowers. The palate is refreshing and balanced, with lively acidity and a clean, long finish. Serve chilled at 6 to 8 degrees in a tulip glass or flute. It makes a reliable aperitif and pairs well with light fish, seafood, antipasti and citrus-dressed salads.
