La Cuvee is the signature brut of Laurent Perrier, here in magnum. A high proportion of Chardonnay drawn from more than a hundred crus gives citrus, white flowers and vineyard peach, with about four years on the lees behind a fine, precise bead.

Description
Laurent Perrier built its house style around freshness and a high share of Chardonnay, and La Cuvee is the wine that carries that signature. The blend brings together more than a hundred crus, with over half Chardonnay for finesse, supported by Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, and a portion of reserve wines to keep the character consistent. It is made by the traditional method, with a second fermentation in bottle and around four years of ageing on the lees, which builds the subtle toasted depth and the persistent, elegant bead. The dosage sits in the brut band, and the magnum favours a slow, even maturation.
The colour is a pale gold with a fine, lasting perlage. The nose leads with fresh citrus and white flowers, and the palate shows vineyard peach and white fruit over a taut line of freshness, closing precise and long. Serve at 8 to 10 degrees in a white wine glass to let the aromatics open. It is a stylish aperitif and pairs with oysters, scallops and fish, and its structure also carries white meats such as veal or poultry.
