La Liqueur de Monin Banane Jaune

La Liqueur de Monin Banane Jaune is a banana liqueur from Monin, the French syrup and liqueur house based in Bourges and long supplied to the trade. It captures the sweet character of fully ripe yellow bananas at 20% in the 700ml bottle, the fruit carried in the traditional macerated style on a clean spirit base so the flavour stays soft and direct.

The nose shows ripe banana, vanilla and a hint of tropical sweetness, the palate full bodied and creamy with an intense banana note and a slip of caramel, the finish gentle and long. In a drink it contributes soft tropical fruit and a creamy body that suits frozen and shaken serves, behind a Banana Colada, a Banana Daiquiri or a Tropical Martini. It also pours readily into milkshakes and banana milk, and a measure rounds out a coffee speciality or a patisserie cream.
