Koskenkorva is produced at the Koskenkorva distillery in western Finland, where the grain is grown locally and the plant runs on renewable energy to keep its carbon footprint down, hence the Climate Action name. The grain base is triple distilled, which is enough to deliver a clean, mild spirit while leaving a little softness in the body, and it is cut with clear Finnish water. The brand's column distillation is known for being efficient and gentle, and here it produces a vodka that is pure but carries a recognisable warm, faintly sweet edge.

The nose is fresh and pure with a light hint of vanilla and a subtle herbal note, the palate is smooth and mild with a clear sweetness and that warm vanilla touch, and the finish is long and clean. The vanilla thread makes it a natural pick for an Espresso Martini: shake it hard with fresh espresso, a coffee liqueur and a touch of sugar, double-strained cold, where the vodka's own sweet, vanilla note slots neatly behind the coffee instead of disappearing under it.
