Koskenkorva Espresso is a coffee liqueur from Finland, built on the well known Koskenkorva spirit distilled in the village of Koskenkorva from barley and clear spring water. Espresso flavouring is married to that clean Nordic grain base and bottled at 21%, giving a balanced coffee liqueur that is mild, aromatic and versatile rather than heavy or syrupy. The pairing of a crisp Scandinavian grain spirit with roasted coffee is its defining idea on a back bar.

The nose is strong roasted coffee with sweet cocoa, the palate full bodied and aromatic with an intense espresso character set into a light sweetness, finishing soft and long with lingering coffee and chocolate. Behind the bar it brings coffee roast, body and a measured sweetness on a clean base, which makes it a natural for an Espresso Martini or a refinement for long drinks. It is also good neat at room temperature or over ice. Pour it cold to show the roasted character, or use it wherever a coffee drink wants clarity rather than weight.
