Kingsbarns 10 Years Old

This 10 Years Old is a Limited Release from Kingsbarns and among the oldest the young distillery has yet bottled, matured in ex-Bourbon and red wine casks. Kingsbarns is a Lowland distillery in the East Neuk of Fife, founded by the Wemyss family in 2014, so a decade is a milestone for it.

Built in a restored Georgian farm steading near St Andrews, the distillery runs long-necked stills for a light, fruity, unpeated spirit. Matured in ex-Bourbon and red wine casks over ten years, the two woods give vanilla and a soft berry depth.

Bottled at 46%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanilla and citrus, while the red wine cask adds dark berry and a light grip. A decade has settled the distillery's bright fruit into something rounder. An older Fife Lowland malt.
