Khortytsa Khor Ice Vodka

Khortytsa KHOR ICE comes from the Khortytsa house in Ukraine, a large producer, and represents its cleanest, freshest style. The base is a high-quality grain alcohol cut with specially treated water, then filtered several times to remove congeners and leave an exceptionally pure, even structure. The flavour profile is kept deliberately neutral, which is a design choice rather than a shortcoming: this is a vodka meant to be precise and cool rather than characterful, set at 40% with a clean, technical edge.

The nose is very neutral and fresh with a fine cereal note, the palate clear, soft and balanced with a cool freshness, and the finish is short to medium, dry and very clean. Because it brings so little of its own, it works best where you want the spirit to step back, so build a tall Vodka Tonic over plenty of ice with a wedge of fresh lime, letting the tonic's bitterness and the lime lead while the clean grain base simply gives the drink its lift.
