Description
Ketel One comes from the Nolet Distillery in Schiedam, the Netherlands, one of the oldest family-run distilleries in the world, founded in 1691 and now eleven generations deep. The name points to the heart of the method: Distilleerketel No. 1, the original copper pot still still in service, used alongside modern columns so that part of the spirit carries the rounder, more characterful note that pot distillation gives. Produced in small batches, it is built specifically for cocktails, with a clear, pure body and the fresh citrus lift on the finish that bartenders reach for.
The nose is fresh with a hint of citrus and a touch of honey. The palate is fresh and lightly fruity with clear citrus flavours, running to a long finish.
