Description
Kaiza 5 King of Kings is made in small batches at the Kaiza Distillery in South Africa, a gin that leans into classic structure rather than novelty. Juniper takes the lead, joined by coriander, lemon peel, angelica root and a measure of fine spice, each addition controlled to keep the profile clean and consistent. The bottle's minimalist design matches the spirit's unfussy confidence, and the awards cabinet backs it up: Double Gold in 2021, Gold the year before.
The nose is classic, juniper with citrus zest and a mild spicy edge. The palate is dry, fresh and balanced, juniper and lemon meeting green herbs and a hint of pepper, while the finish stays clean and slightly spiced with a long, refreshing close. Serve with tonic and a twist of lemon zest or a sprig of rosemary, or build it into a dry Martini.
