Description
Jameson Triple Triple takes its name from a double idea: triple distilled, then matured in three cask types. Bottled by Irish Distillers for travel retail in litre format, this 2024 release blends single pot still and grain whiskey from Midleton in East Cork, unpeated in the house style.
The whiskey rests in ex-bourbon barrels, Oloroso sherry casks and Marsala wine casks, the bourbon giving vanilla and toffee, the sherry dried fruit and the Marsala a sweet, raisined warmth. At 40% it is smooth and rounded, the orchard fruit and gentle spice of Midleton lifted by a layered, winey finish.
