Description
The 2019 Jameson Triple Triple, a travel retail bottling from Irish Distillers built on triple distillation and three cask types. Single pot still and grain whiskey, distilled at Midleton in East Cork, are triple distilled and unpeated, then divided across a trio of woods for maturation.
Ex-bourbon barrels, Oloroso sherry casks and Malaga wine casks combine to give vanilla and citrus alongside dried and fresh fruit with a clear sherried thread. At 40% the whiskey is smooth and sweetly fruited, the orchard character and creamy texture of the Midleton style carried to a rounded, wine touched finish.
