Description
The Blender's Dog is one of three bottlings in Jameson's Whiskey Makers Series, each named for a tool of the Midleton whiskey makers; this one honours the head blender, whose nose knits the casks together. Distilled at Midleton in East Cork, it pairs single pot still and grain whiskey, triple distilled and unpeated.
Matured in ex-bourbon barrels and bottled at a firmer 43%, it leans into honey, citrus and vanilla with a fresh, hay like note over the creamy house texture. The higher strength gives more grip than the standard blend, the orchard fruit and light spice of Midleton carried to a warm, honeyed close.
