The 2012 St. Patrick's Day edition of Jameson, an annual seasonal bottling of the Irish Distillers flagship. It blends single pot still and grain whiskey from the Midleton distillery in East Cork, triple distilled and unpeated, under a commemorative label rather than a new recipe.
Ex-bourbon barrels carry the maturation, lending vanilla, soft toffee and orchard fruit to the light, fruit driven spirit. At 40% it is smooth and undemanding, the grain sweetness and gentle pot still spice of the Midleton profile making it an easy pour dressed for the day. Released across Europe.
