Jameson is best known as a blend, so this single pot still bottling is a departure, made only from malted and unmalted barley distilled in copper pot stills at the Midleton distillery in Co. Cork. It carries no age statement and is bottled at the higher strength of 46% for a global release.

The maturation draws on five oak types, ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks alongside virgin European and American oak, plus Irish oak, layering vanilla and honey against dried fruit and a clear note of fresh and old wood. The unmalted barley gives the pot still spice and oily texture that mark the style, more assertive here than in the Jameson blend. A pot still whiskey wearing a familiar name.
