Description
Jameson Rarest Vintage Reserve is a prestige bottling in the Jameson range, a blend of well aged single pot still and grain whiskey triple distilled at the Midleton distillery in Co. Cork. This 2007 release draws on some of the oldest and most select casks set aside from the wider Jameson stock.
Matured mainly in ex-bourbon oak with the influence of sherry and Port casks, it shows honey, dried fruit, dark chocolate and a deep, layered spice. Bottled at 46% rather than the standard strength, it carries more concentration and a longer finish, the age and richer wood building a fuller, more contemplative version of the smooth Midleton blend.
