Description
Jameson Bold is one of three whiskeys in the Deconstructed Series, which took apart the elements of the Jameson blend to highlight each in turn. Made at Midleton in Co. Cork by Irish Distillers, Bold leans into the single pot still side of the blend, the component that carries Ireland's hallmark spice.
Matured in ex-bourbon American oak and bottled at 40% in a litre format for the Irish market, it turns up the peppery, gingery pot still character over the softer grain, giving clove, baking spice and toasted oak alongside the vanilla and orchard fruit of the house style. It is triple distilled and unpeated, a study in the spicier end of the Jameson profile.
