Jameson Remixed Caribbean Beats is a 21 Years Old blend of single pot still and grain whiskey from Midleton in Co. Cork, part of a series pairing aged Jameson with music culture. Triple distilled by Irish Distillers, it was released in Ireland in a 500ml format limited to three thousand bottles.
After long maturation the whiskey was finished in Caribbean rum casks sourced from Barbados and Cuba, and the rum influence adds molasses, brown sugar and a tropical, fruity sweetness over the orchard fruit and baking spice of the base blend. Bottled at 46%, it keeps texture and weight while the twenty one years lend a mellow, honeyed depth beneath the rum cask character.
