Description
The 2019 Bow Street 18 Years Old Cask Strength is a Jameson blend of single pot still and grain whiskey, triple distilled at Midleton in Co. Cork by Irish Distillers and named after the historic Bow Street distillery in Dublin. It sits among the oldest expressions carrying the Jameson name.
This release drew on first fill ex-bourbon casks, so the American oak character is pronounced, giving generous vanilla, honey and citrus with a firm malt and old wood backbone from eighteen years of maturation. Bottled at 55.1% without dilution, it is rich and mouth coating, the pot still component adding pepper and clove under the sweetness. It was released for the European market.
