Isle of Jura Red Wine Cask Finish

The Red Wine Cask Finish is part of Isle of Jura's Cask Edition range, the island malt rounded off in red wine wood. Jura is the sole distillery on its remote Inner Hebridean island, brought back to life in 1963.

The distillery's clean make takes a wine finish well. Finished in red wine casks, the wood adds dark fruit and a soft drying edge to the honeyed malt.

Bottled at 40%. The red wine cask gives dark berry and plum with a light tannic grip over the malt's honeyed core. The recorded notes run to honey, vanilla, citrus, dried fruit, fresh fruit and a sherried edge. An easy, fruity cask-finish Jura.
