Chorlton Whisky bottled this 15 year old Isle of Jura in ex-Bourbon oak at a cask strength 52.8%, an outturn of 201 bottles for Italy. The Jura distillery, the island's only one, rose again in 1963 after the original had fallen to ruin.
The distillery's light, clean spirit shows well at fifteen years. Matured in ex-Bourbon oak, the wood rounds the honeyed malt.
Bottled at its natural cask strength of 52.8%. The ex-Bourbon wood gives vanillin for vanilla and oak lactones for coconut. The recorded notes run to dried hay, malt sweetness and a yeasty note. A clean, malty independent single cask Jura.
