Isle of Jura Boutique Barrels – German Exclusive 17 Years Old 1995

This Boutique Barrels 1995 was a German Exclusive, a 17 year old Isle of Jura matured in Oloroso sherry from single cask 320. An outturn of 560 bottles, it is one of the distillery's hand-picked cask releases. There is a single distillery on Jura, rebuilt in 1963 across the water from the peat of Islay.

The distillery's light, clean spirit takes sherry well. Matured in a single Oloroso cask across 17 years, the sherry wood pulls the malt towards dried fruit.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 56%. The Oloroso gives dried fruit, melanoidins reading as fig and raisin, with tannins adding a walnut dryness. Sherried and full at cask strength. A hand-picked German exclusive Jura.
