Isle of Jura Boutique Barrels 14 Years Old 1996

This Boutique Barrels 14 year old was distilled in 1996 and drawn from ex-Bourbon single cask 30, bottled at a cask strength 54%. An outturn of 493 bottles, it is one of the distillery's hand-picked single casks. Jura's distillery, the island's only one, was raised again in 1963 to bring work back to a dwindling community.

The distillery's light, clean spirit shows well from a single cask. Matured in a single ex-Bourbon cask across 14 years, the wood frames the honeyed malt at full strength.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 54%. American oak from the ex-Bourbon barrel gives vanilla and coconut, with maltol lending toffee. Clean, honeyed and vivid at cask strength. A hand-picked single cask boutique Jura.
