Description

Part of Isle of Jura's Single Barrel series, this 10 year old is a cask strength bottling from ex-Bourbon barrel 1141. An outturn of 224 bottles for France, it shows the island malt at full strength from a single cask.

The Jura distillery, the island's only one, rose again in 1963 after the original had fallen to ruin. Matured in a single ex-Bourbon cask, the wood keeps the young malt clean and bright.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 56.4%. The cask's vanillin reads as vanilla and its oak lactones as coconut, maltol adding a toffee sweetness. The full strength lifts the honeyed, maritime character. A single barrel ten with weight.
