Description
Wein- und Sektkellerei Inführ at Klosterneuburg is known first for its Sekt, and its Frucht range applies the same sparkling approach to fruit. This bottling captures the freshness of pears in a lightly sparkling wine, made from selected pear varieties at 7% alcohol with around 18 grams per litre of residual sugar. The result is off dry rather than fully sweet, with a light bead that keeps it fresh and carries the fruit. It is built for social occasions and warm-weather drinking rather than the dinner table.
The colour is a bright, light gold. The nose is fruity and open, with ripe pear and a hint of citrus. The palate carries a tangy freshness, the light sweetness of the pear supported by a fine bead, and the finish is fresh and fruity with a lingering pear and citrus note. Serve well chilled at 6 to 8 degrees. It works as an aperitif, with fresh salads or light fish, and alongside fruity desserts such as fruit tarts or sorbet.
