Description
Wein- und Sektkellerei Inführ at Klosterneuburg makes this rosé Frizzante as a lighter, more casual counterpart to its Sekt. The cuvée is based on carefully vinified red varieties, gently pressed to draw a pale rosé colour before the wine is turned into a finely sparkling Frizzante. The lower pressure of a Frizzante keeps it soft and easy on the palate, and at around 18 grams per litre of residual sugar the fruit sits forward while the acidity keeps it dry-feeling and fresh. This is a modern, regional take on everyday sparkling wine rather than a special-occasion bottle.
The colour is a delicate rosé with salmon reflections and a fine, lively bead. The nose brings raspberry, strawberry and redcurrant, with a hint of citrus and a floral freshness. The palate is light and fruity, with gentle acidity and a clean, sparkling finish. Serve well chilled at 5 to 6 degrees. It makes a good aperitif and suits antipasti, fresh summer salads, light fish dishes and berry desserts.
