Ice Floe Premium Quality Vodka

Ice Floe is produced in Poland by IMA Polska from wheat and pure spring water, run through a multi-stage distillation that smooths the spirit out. Wheat is doing the heavy lifting on texture here: it is the grain that gives vodka its soft, rounded mouthfeel, and that is exactly what Ice Floe is going for, an even and gentle base with nothing jarring. Bottled at 40 percent, it keeps enough strength to carry its flavours without overwhelming the smoothness, landing as a clean, balanced everyday vodka.

The nose is fresh and pure, with fine citrus and a light cereal note. The palate is soft and smooth, with a subtle sweetness, that thread of citrus freshness and a hint of minerality, finishing long and mild. Given the built-in citrus lift and the soft wheat body, it is a natural for a Vodka Tonic: build it over plenty of ice with a good Indian tonic and a twist of lemon, where the quinine's bitterness frames the vodka's mild sweetness and the lemon picks up the citrus already in the spirit.
