Orchard fruit, honey and a walnut edge of Oloroso sherry define this Hinch single malt, Irish malt matured in ex-bourbon and sherry casks while the Ballynahinch house waits on its own County Down spirit, bottled at 43%.

Description
Hinch's core single malt is a no age statement Irish malt handled by the young Co. Down distillery founded in 2020 outside Ballynahinch. In the bonder tradition, the malt is sourced from established Irish stocks and shaped by Hinch's cask work, a marriage of ex-bourbon casks and ex-Oloroso sherry wood bottled at 43% for the European market.
The two casks split the profile neatly. Bourbon wood brings vanilla, honey and green orchard fruit, the Oloroso adds walnut, raisin and a light dried fruit richness, and the malt beneath stays clean and cereal sweet. It is an approachable, well mannered single malt in the classic Irish register, soft in texture with a gently drying sherry finish, and it offers a clear preview of the style Hinch intends for its own spirit.
