Description
This is the liqueur counterpart to Helmut Wermut's aged rum, taking an eight year old molasses spirit matured in ex-bourbon oak and softening it into a sweeter, lower strength drink at 35%. As a rum liqueur it is openly sweetened, built for easy, rounded sipping rather than to show the dry character of the base rum. Expect vanilla, caramel and a smooth, sugar softened body, a gentle after dinner pour to serve chilled, over ice or as a sweet note in a cocktail. Honest about being a liqueur, it trades the bite of an aged rum for comfort and sweetness.
