Hausgemachtes Traktor-Öl Spezialkräuterlikör is a herbal liqueur from the Kraichgau region of Germany, produced by hand in a small family distillery and described as the maker's oldest product, made for over 35 years. It is built in small batches from a complex blend of selected herbs, which gives it an intense, distinctive flavour, and it is bottled at a forceful 52% ABV, placing it among the stronger herbal liqueurs. The humorous name nods to its dark colour and strong character.

The nose is intensely spicy with aromatic herbal depth, the palate strong and complex with balanced herbs, spicy bitterness and a fine sweetness, and the finish long and warming with intense herbs. A base of mint, anise, wormwood and gentian gives the bittersweet herbal spine. Behind the bar it contributes a bitter backbone, herb lift and real strength, useful as a chilled digestif or shot, a bitter measure in a stirred drink, or an aromatic accent in hot serves. It pairs with roasts, game and hearty snacks. Serve it neat or slightly chilled, and let its strength carry the herb character.
