Harakiri Likör

A fruit liqueur from Austrian Brands in the southern Burgenland region of Austria, a producer that works regional fruit into spirits and liqueurs. Orange leads the flavour here, and at 56% this is an unusually strong measure for the style, which gives it the punch to stand up in a mixed drink rather than fade. That strength is its trade angle: it brings fruit character without diluting a long serve into thinness.

The nose is fruity with fully ripe apricot, the palate intense, fruity and spicy with clear orange running through it, set against vanilla, honey and a light almond and caramel sweetness. In a drink it adds orange fruit, warmth and length, so it lifts a fruit juice highball or a citrus forward long drink and holds its line over ice. Best combined with fruit juices or other mixed drinks, where its strength keeps the flavour present. Serve well chilled or over plenty of ice.
